Around Titanic

Belfast! I wanted to explore the city, and make a post about it. I mean how can I have a travel blog and not include Belfast.
My first stop was Titanic quarter, specifically the Titanic Museum. Me and my friend purchased tickets beforehand and then printed them off inside, and headed into the museum. It was wonderful inside. Seeing the history of not only the titanic but Belfast and how it has progressed through time, as well as how the events leading up to the titanic setting sail and it's fateful demise. It took us around 1.5hrs to make our way through the museum without skipping anything. We also got to go on a ride, that felt more like an amusement than a museum. There is an narrator who talks you through the working conditions when building titanic and what it was like for the workers inside the ship. It left me speechless, It was so good. After we finished the museum we headed to get food, however the café in the museum was quite expensive so we decided to head into the city centre using a glider and grab a bite to eat there.




Food

We hoped off the glider and made our way to Granny Annie's for some food and a drink or two. We got a starter, main and dessert, to really treat ourselves. However I wasn't able to grab a picture of our main as I was so occupied with enjoying the meal I forgot to take one. The dessert was somehow even better and left me wanting more even though my stomach couldn't take it. The food was five stars, so delicious and the service was great. They've definitely made a loyal customer.

After a long night out through Belfast, we headed home on the train, but not without getting a Little Italy's Pizza! 100/10!!! I can't recommend this place enough. I've never had pizza so good in my life!!!




Entertainment

After the delicious meal, we headed out in search of a bar. We ended up at the mavericks which was amazing! we ended up watching Rupaul's Drag Race and then entertained by some fantastic drag
queens who put on a show. They sang, danced and told jokes, keeping us entertained the whole time we were  there. Drink after drink after drink, we downed as we laughed and gasped throughout the show. It will definitely be a place I won't forget!

Why Northern Ireland??

 Why Northern Ireland Why Northern Ireland? Why travel around this country when you can go abroad and be immersed in hot weather, delicious food and a new culture, but there's so much you are missing if you just brush Northern Ireland off your list because you live here or scoffing at the idea of visiting. This small country has so much to offer, as you can see from my previous blog posts (shameless self promotion). In these six counties there is so much to still explore, and personally I hope to get to more sights as the future goes. Once my life calms a bit and the sunshine starts popping up again, I have my itinerary planned. But that isn't to say that I'm going to wait around for 5 months, there is still so much to see leading up to Christmas, such as the Christmas markets, which I will be hopefully talking about in the next few weeks.  Places I hope to visit:  Ice Skating -  Dundonald International Ice Bowl - This is top of my to do list!!
